THREE ITEMS ON AGENDA FOR UPCOMING NTSB BOARD MEETING
The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a public Board meeting on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 9:30 a.m., in its Board Room and Conference Center, 429 L'Enfant Plaza, SW, Washington, DC.
The three items on the agenda to be discussed are:
- On April 12, 2007, a Bombardier/Canadair Regional Jet
(CRJ) CL600-2B19, operated as Pinnacle Airline 4712, ran off the departure end of runway 28 after landing at Cherry Capital Airport, Traverse City Michigan.
There were no injuries among the 49 passengers and 3 crewmembers and the aircraft was substantially damaged. The weather at the time of the accident was
reported as snowing. Instrument meteorological
conditions prevailed at the time of the accident, which was operated on an instrument flight rules flight plan.

- Recommendation letter: The Board Members will review
several recent accidents and incidents that highlight the dangers of human fatigue within airline operations, as they discuss a possible recommendation letter to the Federal Aviation Administration. The discussion may include the following accidents:
- October 19, 2004, Kirksville, Missouri, Corporate
Airlines. Both pilots and 11 passengers were killed.
Two passengers received serious injuries.
- February 18, 2007, Delta Connection, operated by Shuttle America, Inc., Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport. All 72 passengers and a crew of four deplaned without serious injury.
- April 12, 2007, Pinnacle Airlines, Cherry Capital Airport, Traverse City, Michigan.
- February 13, 2008, Go! flight 1002, operated by Mesa Airlines, flew past its destination airport of Hilo, Hawaii. There were no injuries.

- On Wednesday, November 25, 2005, about 4:41 p.m.,
westbound Northeast Illinois Regional Commuter Railroad (METRA) 107 collided with six automobiles in a queue formed at the 366-foot-wide signaled highway- railroad grade crossing on eastbound West Grand Avenue in Chicago, Illinois, that trapped the vehicles within the grade crossing. Seven automobile occupants received minor-to-serious injuries and three of the approximately 400 train passengers reported minor injuries. The impact destroyed six vehicles and 12 vehicles had minor-to-extensive damage. The locomotive incurred minor damage and did not derail.
