With the last witness having been heard, this phase of the Safety Board's investigation of UPS Airline Flight 1307 is now concluded.
The Safety Board welcomes any comments from the parties or the public that may assist us in our efforts in this investigation. Please submit 15 copies of your comments to the Safety Board within 30 days after you receive a transcript of the hearing. This deadline may be revised depending on the need for additional follow-up investigation activities. Please also submit one copy of your comments or recommendations to each of the other parties to the hearing, as well as to parties to the field phase of the investigation. All comments received by the Safety Board will be made a part of the public docket of this investigation.
All the evidence developed in this investigation and hearing, as well as all comments or recommendations timely received, will be presented and evaluated in the Safety Board’s final report of the accident in which probable cause will be determined.
On behalf of the National Transportation Safety Board, I again thank the parties for their cooperation, not only during this proceeding but also throughout the entire investigation of this accident. Also, I want to express our sincere appreciation to all those persons, groups, corporations, and agencies who have provided their time and their talent so willingly throughout this hearing.
The record of the investigation, including the transcript of the hearing and all exhibits entered into the record, will become part of the Safety Board's public docket on this accident and will be available for inspection at the Safety Board's Washington office.
