NTSB INVESTIGATING MONORAIL ACCIDENT AT DISNEY WORLD

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating an accident on the monorail passenger transportation system at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

At about 2 AM EDT on Sunday, July 5, 2009, two monorail trains collided killing the operator of one of the trains. No passengers were seriously injured.

Investigator Ted Turpin from the NTSB Office of Railroad, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Investigations is responding to the scene.
