WASHINGTON - The National Transportation Safety Board has scheduled a photo availability of the portions of damaged 3rd rail cover board and electrical system components from the tunnel where the January 12 electrical arcing and smoke event occurred. The portions of the 3rd rail cover board, damaged traction power cables and associated hardware are in the Materials Laboratory at the NTSB Headquarters in Washington, DC for examination.

Camera crews need to report to the guard desk on the 6th floor to be badged. This event is open to credentialed video and still photography members of the news media only and a photo ID will be required to be given to the guard to receive your badge.
