It’s been nearly a decade since NTSB recommended that all 50 states lower their BAC limit from .08 to .05 in 2013. In July of this year, NTSB hosted Part 1 of the virtual
roundtable: .05 BAC: Past, Present, and Future .
In Part 2 of this virtual roundtable series, hosted by NTSB Member Tom Chapman, we will give a legislative primer for anyone curious about and/or considering proposing legislation for a lower BAC for their state. We will hear from representatives from Utah who were behind their law change, as well as law enforcement and judicial professionals who will share their experience with this new law.
