On Wednesday, December 6, 2023, from 9:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. EST, NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy will host “Navigating Mental Health in Aviation.” The summit's purpose is to examine the unintended consequences of the current system for evaluating mental fitness in the aviation workforce, identify how we can better support those in the aviation industry, and ultimately make aviation safer for all. The summit will be held at the NTSB Boardroom and Conference Center, 429 L’Enfant Plaza, SW, Washington, DC.
The summit will bring together safety experts from the aviation industry, academia, the mental health profession, and government, and is open to the public. A recording will be made available after.
