WASHINGTON (Jan. 18, 2023) — The National Transportation Safety Board released today new factual information via the
public docket for the multivehicle crash that occurred in the southbound toll lanes of Interstate 35 West (I-35W) in
Fort Worth, Texas on Feb. 11, 2021.
The crashes occurred during icy road conditions on an elevated bridge and involved a combination of commercial and passenger vehicles. As a result of the crash, six people were fatally injured and 36 people were transported to area hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
The docket made public on the NTSB's website today contains 1,465 pages of factual information covering various aspects of the investigation and includes crash summaries, interview transcripts, photographs, and factual reports.
The docket contains only factual information collected by NTSB investigators; no conclusions about the probable cause of the crash should be drawn from the information within the docket. Analysis, findings, recommendations, and probable cause determinations related to the crash will be issued by the NTSB in a final report at a later date.
