 NTSB adding documents to public docket for San Bruno pipeline investigation

As part of its continuing investigation into the pipeline rupture and explosion that occurred in San Bruno, Calif., on Sept. 9, 2010, the National Transportation Safety Board has added additional items to the public accident docket.

One photograph and 129 documents totaling more than 4,000 pages have been added to the docket. The information being released is factual in nature and does not provide any analysis. (The following document numbers are the new items released today: 33, 36-37, 137, 173, 215-216, and 218-340.)

Additional material will be added to the docket as it becomes available. Analysis of the accident, along with conclusions and a determination of probable cause, will come at a later date when the final report on the investigation is completed.

This is a document release only; no interviews will be conducted.
